Special ordinary detonators are made by filling aluminium shells with ASA as the initiating charge and PETIN as the secondary charge.When fired with the safety fuse,the spit of fire from the safety fuse initiates the primary charge which in turn fires the secondary charge causing a detonation to take place.This sets off the various explosive charges,into which the detonators are inserted and fired.The strength of the detonator ensures complete initiation of cap sensitive explosives.
Special ordinary Detonators find application in several are as like project construction,shallow hole blasting,well digging,testing and evaluation of explosives etc.
100 Nos.Detonators are packed in a card board carton.5 such cartons are wrapped in kraft paper and made as a packet.twenty such packets are packed in a double walled wooden case bituminised paper liner containing a total of 10,000 Nos detonators per case.
The safety fuse should be crimped closer to the open end of the detonator with a proper crimper.too tight a crimp may lead to misfire.To cover safety distances use sufficient length of safety fuse.

Instataneous electric Detonators are manufactured with Aluminium shells which are filled with ASA as the primary charge and PETN as the secondary charge.For electrically initiating the Detonator a fusehead,uniquely designed and made by an automatic process with strict quality control is used. A pair of rugged and abrasion resistant leg wires are soldered to the two legs of the fusehead.This assembly is crimped to the Detonator by using a plastic plug making it water resistant.To the other ends of the leg wires which are bare,are shunted by twistings.This avoids any static stray discharge from accidentally firing the Detonator. These end twistings are removed when the detonators are connected to the firing equipment like blasto meter/exploders,for use.
Aluminium Electric Detonators have a wide range of applications in construction sites,open cast mines & quarrying ect.,These Aluminium Electric Detonators are prohibited from use in underground gassy mines.
INSTANTANEOUS Aluminium Electric Detonators are packed as a bundle of 25 Nos each.Two such bundles are wrapped in a kraft paper and made as a packet of 50.50 such packets are placed in a wooden case having a water proof liner.2500 Nos of Detonators are packed in a case.
Do not use electric detonators of two different manufacturers in the same series circuit.Do not connect more detonators in each round than the capacity of the exploder.Insulate all the wire joints as an absolute safety measure.check the continuity and the resistance of the circuit before firing.
